Volunteers

Thanks to the kindness and hard work of volunteers, STARS continues to provide recreational opportunities for people with disabilities. In winter 08-09, STARS provided nearly 3000 hours of 670 adaptive lessons to more than 160 students. 144 volunteers worked a total of just over 3000 hours. So far this winter we have provided 520 lessons to STARS clients! We are on track to set a new record!

We sincerely thank all of the instructors and volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the season in order to provide each student with an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience in Steamboat Springs.

VOLUNTEER REWARDS

Aside from the reward of working with the amazing clientele of STARS programs, we offer a reward program for your dedication. Seven hours volunteering = one day pass at Steamboat Ski Area! *NEW* this winter 09-10 is the Volunteer Season Pass Contract. (Training must be completed first, see your STARS Supervisor to find out if you qualify.)
