Winter Base Camp Office:
STARS at Base Camp will be located in the One Steamboat Place building on the ground level, located below Truffle Pig Restaurant, across from the main Gondola. Refer to the map and accessible routes below to further assist in locating the new STARS Winter Base Camp office. Participant Resources
Winter Equipment Rentals
Rental reservations must be completed prior to any STARS lesson. If you arrive to your lesson without equipment, we will reschedule your lesson if possible.
STARS has partnered with Steamboat’s Christy Sports Gondola Square for basic winter rental equipment. Ski or snowboard packages including helmets are FREE for STARS’ participants. In addition, STARS’ family members will get a discounted rate on ski or snowboard packages.
Christy Sports Gondola Square STARS Participant Rentals
You must be participating with STARS in order to redeem the sponsorship discount from Christy Sports. Please note, when following the link, you will be required to submit a 20% deposit down on your order, which will be credited back to you accordingly upon arrival and equipment fitting at Christy Sports Gondola Square. Family members, the deposit will be applied to the discounted order upon arrival and equipment fitting.
If you are registered for a sit-skiing lesson, you will need to pick up a helmet from Christy Sports before you arrive to your lesson. Helmet rentals from Christy Sports are FREE for STARS’ participants. STARS will provide the sit-ski equipment.
Lodging Discounts
Holiday Inn will provide a discount for our participants and families. At this time, please contact the Holiday Inn Front Desk to redeem the discount and make your reservation. Holiday Inn Website
Residence Inn Steamboat Springs will provide a discount for all participants and their families. At this time, please contact the Residence Inn Front Desk and ask to speak with Ryan Schwede to redeem the discount and make your reservation.
STARS Policies
Participants must agree to all policies in order to participate in STARS programming. The policies are provided once more for review within the registration process. Please give our office a call if you have any questions. (970) 870-1950.
STARS Lift Tickets
STARS participants who have a reservation for lessons with us will receive a lift ticket for those scheduled days. Lift tickets are to be used during a STARS lesson. There are no complimentary or discounted lift tickets for family members of participants in STARS programs.
Adaptive Lift Tickets
Adaptive Season Pass – $459. Adaptive Season Pass inquiries must be directed to the Main Ticket Office at Steamboat Ski Resort either in person or via email, tickets@steamboat.com.
If you have NOT had an adaptive season pass before, you will need to complete the Adaptive Pass Verification form and send the completed form to tickets@steamboat.com or bring it with you in person when you go to the Main Ticket Office at Steamboat Ski Resort to inquire on the adaptive season pass. It requires a signature from your physician stating you qualify for the adaptive pass program.
Day and Aide Tickets – $99/day if purchased at The Main Ticket Office. $103.46/day if purchased at the STARS at Base Camp office. *PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR 23-24 SEASON.
If you have NOT had an adaptive day lift ticket before and you have NOT participated in a STARS Private Lesson, you will need to complete the Adaptive Pass Verification form and email the completed form to info@steamboatstars.com. STARS Scholarship Application
STARS strives to keep our programs affordable but recognizes that some may need additional support to access our programs. Our scholarships are based solely on financial need and only complete applications will be considered.
To be considered for a scholarship, your application must be completed and submitted to STARS by May 15th or December 1st (depending on the season). Please use the resources below to submit your paperwork electronically. The Scholarship Process document is a great resource to ensure this is an easy process.
Please note, most scholarships are partial scholarships while full scholarships are reserved for those with significant needs. In addition, all scholarships require a $25 processing fee. For questions, please call the office at (970) 870-1950 or email us at info@steamboatstars.com.
