DANE GRAVES

Dane joined Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports (STARS) in 2026 as Camps Manager. He brings a mix of outdoor leadership, program operations, and a strong belief that the outdoors should be for everybody. After moving to nearby Craig in 2022, Dane is especially excited to help participants experience the same outdoors he now calls home in Northwest Colorado. He is on track to graduate from Colorado State University in Spring 2026 with a degree in Natural Resource Tourism Management, graduating with honors. Dane looks forward to supporting the camps team, strengthening program systems, and creating experiences where participants feel capable, confident, and supported.

“STARS does the kind of work that stays with you. During my internship I did a hike with a participant who was genuinely excited because it was the furthest he had ever been able to go. That is a memory I won’t ever forget. That is what I love about this place: we help people get outside and do things they did not think were possible.”

• Dane enjoys skiing, road-trips, and being outside as much as possible.

• He also loves cooking for his family out on the grill and turning any random day into an excuse to gather everyone around the table.
